Concluded the operation of Treviso’s company, led by Octagona, for commercial settlement in the Middle East
Iran, today, represents an interesting challenge for the international business. In the last few years, Iran again become an important player in the international scenario and there are many companies that view the huge unexplored potential: indeed, Iran boasts one of the youngest and most educated population rates in the area (over 78 million people, two thirds are under 35), and it is one of the main markets in the MENA region in terms of GDP; the economic growth recorded a +4.3% in 2014, +0.4% in 2015 and a +4.5% in 2016, and it is expected to reach a +5.2% by the end of the year and a +4.5% both in 2018 and 2019. Given the historic relationship between Italy and Iran and the strong appreciation of Made in Italy, many Italian companies have already begun to launch internationalization projects in the Middle East.
Brollo Siet Srl, an historical company from Treviso, that manufactures and sells a wide range of products (electrical and electronic transformers for neon, signs and neon accessories, LED displays and other types of products) in the electrical/lighting industry is one of these companies. The company, already present in foreign markets and with a production facility in India, with the aim to strengthen its activities has decided to activate a business development project in the Iranian market, with the scope to initiate a partnership with local partner, for the commercialization of its products on site. The commercial settlement in the market initially provides for supplying transformers or transformer components, and then the set up of a local production plant.
For the implementation of the entire operation, Brollo has taken advantage of Octagona‘s precious support (company specialized in internationalization since 15 years, already accredited from MISE, Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy region to provide such services), that, with the support of its local partner in Iran, has coordinated, planned and supervised the entire project of internationalization, elaborating a whole mapping of the market (in relation to transformer’s segment), creating a long list of potential Iranian business partners interested in Brollo products and taking care of the accompaniment of Brollo in Iran and meeting 8 shortlisted counterparts.
