The event held in Mumbai represented an important opportunity to promote Make in India campaign and business in the Subcontinent
Octagona confirms its leading role in Italy with regard to the internationalization of companies in India, market in which work directly for more than ten years thanks to its office in New Delhi. A delegation of the company, composed of Alessandro Fichera and Vishnu Krishna, attended the Make in India Week, held in Mumbai from 13th to 18th February. The specific events attended were Make in Maharashtra and Make in Mumbai.
The important event was organized by the Indian Government in order to:
- promote investments by multinational and local companies in the Indian manufacturing sector;
- facilitate meetings between entrepreneurs, investors, companies and politicians;
- illustrate the potential of India, which represents today the main Asian destination in terms of volume and growth potential, whose role will grow in the next ten years;
- show the business opportunities and potential of the Indian State of Maharashtra.
Make in India is an initiative launched by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, which aims to invite worldwide entrepreneurs and companies to invest and to establish their factories and industrial parks in the Asian country.
Specifically, Octagona within the event met local and international companies and held a dialogue with prominent personalities of politics and Indian economy, such as the Minister of Industry of the State of Maharashtra, Sri Subhash Desai, and the CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Mr. Bhushan Gagrani, facilitating contacts and relationships between business and politics.
